February 14 Gentle Yoga Class

Lindsay just finished her yoga teacher training online with Yoga Renew and is so excited to offer a free class to the Beachy Birder Adventures community.

Join us for a gentle yoga class taught by Lindsay McNamara from 10:30-11:30 am on Saturday, February 14. Celebrate your love for birds on Valentine’s Day with your partner, besties or family. This yoga class will be designed for all wingspans and all levels. First-timers do join us! If you’ve been wanting to try a new form of self care, this is your opportunity.

Yoga is for everyone. All are welcome on our friendly and respectful Beachy Birder Adventures!

The class will be lighthearted and will focus on bird-themed and nature-themed poses. We might play some bird song in the background too. Please dress comfortably for light movement and bring a yoga mat if you have one and water. There will be mats and props for you to borrow at the studio as well.

Let’s get birdy AND bendy!

Lindsay McNamara was first introduced to yoga back in high school but has maintained a disciplined weekly practice since 2021. She’s attended yoga retreats and often practices at EvenFlow in Fair Haven, Purpose in Long Branch and Pink Moon in Silverton. She loves a sound bath and even has her Reiki I Certification through Reiki Master Teacher Dana Potts.

Once Lindsay started her own business in 2024 – Beachy Birder Adventures – she began leading mindful bird walks across New Jersey. Through Beachy Birder, she organizes Wellness in Nature Retreats: Women’s Weekend Getaways. The goal of the retreats is to introduce women to the mental health benefits of mindful birding and yoga. All three retreats so far have sold out within less than a week of opening registration months in advance, and she’s gotten rave reviews afterwards with repeat customers!

Given the success of her women’s retreats, Lindsay started organizing wellness workshops centered on all kinds of ways women can reduce stress in their daily lives.

By the end of 2025, Lindsay knew she wanted to deepen her practice and her offerings. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training through Yoga Renew and is proud to now be a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). She enjoys teaching gentle yoga classes designed for “all wingspans” and loves introducing first-timers to a new form of self care.
